My Bridal Story

As is the same for many of you I have looked forward to getting married since I understood the concept. I also have envisioned the tent wedding like in Father of the Bride (a great movie if you haven’t seen it), but in Hollywood there is no budget on things like that. Stepping into the real world I know that by being budget conscious and working with great vendors I will be able to get close to that Hollywood wedding. I am excited to chronicle my wedding journey on here and hear back from fellow brides about what you are doing and looking forward to. When Trudy’s asked me to do this I was actually most excited about having a place where I could interact with other local brides. So first a little about myself. I have grown up in the area and my family is from Fremont. I went to an all girls in San Jose for High School and San Jose State for College. I work for my family which owns a company in the electronics business. Although I am in electronics now I have never lost my love for fashion, design, and event planning.

I meet my fiance over a year ago at a Trade show in Chicago we were in the booths across from each other and it was nothing short of love at first site. He is from Mississippi and was living in Wichita at the time. He moved to California for me in July and we got engaged in October. Our wedding date will be October 9th. Both our parents were married in October and 9 is his lucky number.

Things I have accomplished so far: I have my wedding planner, I picked my dress, and have began the concepts of my wedding. I will post more details about these things later but I want to hear from you first. What things are you working on right now for your wedding?!?!?
